Galbot announced a $300M Series [X] round in December 2024, bringing total funding to $800M and valuation to $3B. Investors included firms from China, Singapore, and the Middle East. The company claims to be the first to achieve full-stack in-house development across foundation models, datasets, and hardware for embodied AI.
The deployment scale is notable. Galbot has placed humanoid robots in production lines at CATL, Bosch, Toyota, and Hyundai — the first company to achieve autonomous humanoid operation on manufacturing floors at this scale. The company has secured orders for thousands of units. In retail, Galbot operates over 30 fully autonomous stores staffed by G1 humanoid robots across Chinese cities. Warehouse logistics deployments have run continuously for over a year.
Healthcare applications are expanding. Galbot is piloting humanoid robots in patient rooms, pharmacies, and hospital guidance systems at Xuanwu Hospital and other facilities. These use cases target labor-intensive hospital workflows, not clinical tasks.
The company's technical claims center on multi-task generalization, whole-body motion control, and cross-embodiment navigation. Validation of these capabilities against benchmarks or independent audits is not publicly available. Buyers should assess technical maturity and integration complexity before committing to large deployments.
This funding positions Galbot as China's leading humanoid robotics company by capital raised and claimed deployment scale. Global competitors including Figure, 1X, and Apptronik are advancing similar platforms but have not yet reached comparable commercial volumes. The race is shifting from prototypes to production economics.
