Robot.com announced a 7-year contract with Sodexo Group, expanding deployment of its R-Kiwi sidewalk delivery robot across college campuses. The agreement represents the company's largest single enterprise deployment and extends a partnership that began in 2021. Sodexo operates 400,000 employees globally, with 120,000 in the U.S., and has struggled to fill open positions.

The San Francisco-based company attributes its viability to Remi, a robotics implementation platform developed over nearly a decade. Remi integrates classical robotics, third-party AI software, and advertising technology to improve unit economics. Revenue comes from both delivery fees and on-robot advertising, reducing reliance on per-delivery margins.

Robot.com has deployed over 500 R-Kiwi units that have completed 2.4 million tasks. The company targets 1 million revenue-generating operational hours per year and maintains uptime through layered intervention systems — on-site staff, teleoperation, and AI agents. The company partners with Field AI and Physical Intelligence for safety assurance.

Robot.com plans to introduce R-Dog, a wheeled-legged quadruped capable of package drop-off and stair navigation, and R-noid, a wheeled humanoid with two arms. CEO Felipe Chavez Cortes positions campus delivery as a proving ground for more complex industrial deployments, where controlled environments and reliable Wi-Fi make operations easier.
